DO I NEED TO HAVE POLO OR RIDING EXPERIENCE?
No polo or riding experience is necessary to join polo. Some of our best players had never sat on a horse before joining. For those who have ridden before, once you try our equine athletes you won't go back, polo ponies are a level-up from your average school pony.
WHAT IS POLO?
Polo is like rugby meets hockey on horseback. It requires teamwork, ball accuracy and horsemanship at speed. Join polo if you love adrenaline fuelled sports alongside as well as pitch-side socialising.
DO YOU HAVE A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP?
It’s easy to give it a go. You don’t need to be a member to join our taster sessions.
CAN I JOIN A TEAM?
Yes, we take teams of all levels to SUPA summer and winter nationals as well as friendly matches and varsities. Whether it is your first year playing polo or you have played a lot before, there are numerous opportunities to represent the university.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Hats and polo equipment are all provided. For tasters just wear comfortable clothes and shoes with grip and a bit of a heel. If you have it, your regular riding stuff is great.
IS TRANSPORT PROVIDED?
Yes we organise transport to weekly lessons, matches and taster sessions.
